Headed back over to China in January to compete at the Nanshan Open again such a sick comp! Made it through to the finals but during the finals the weather got real bad and we only ended up getting one run which was a bit rubbish but still managed a good result!!! Here is some footage from the comp!
I got an invite back to the 13th Red Bull Nanshan Open in China. This year the trip was so sick other than my bag not turning up for a few days. We were in Beijing for the first part of the trip and visited the Wall again and saw a lot of Beijing. One morning we got on the Bus over to Nanshan for the practice, it was really windy so we couldn’t hit the jumps but the rail setup was really fun so just got to ride that. I rode with Mons Roisland and Micheal Schaerer most of the time. The next day was the qualification, the weather was way better so we got to ride the jumps for the first time, I didn’t land my first run but i got my second and that put me through to the semi finals which was the next day. It was really bad light for the semis I landed my run which was cab double 9, front 7, front blunt 270 into back blunt 270, I got and 87 and qualified in 3rd for the finals. I did the same run in the finals and got 3rd place!!! I was so stoked to get third at such a fun comp with some really good riders!
I got invited to the 12th RedBull Nanshan Open in China, was such an awesome trip to spend a week in China seeing all the cool sites like The Great Wall and other things. The resort was pretty weird it was just a big patch of snow and around was industrial estates and mountains, the course was fun two jumps and two rails I managed to get 8th place so I was really stoked on that!!! Definitely my best trip ever and would love to go back!!
